We're hiring a Lead embedded software engineer to deliver the next generation IoT flood sensor to support global expansion.

Our Lead embedded software engineer will:

  • Put together an expert team of software, hardware, cloud and mechanical engineers, to build a category defining product in 12 months.
  • Build a device that will support the business as it scales across 4 territories in the next 2 years, and doubles in head-count over the next 6 months.
  • Define the development process and be the scrum master to create a highly productive team that can develop new technology and utilise the latest innovations in IoT.
  • Be the final sign-off for all code and verification, directly impacting business outcomes. The buck stops with you.
  • Be hands-on throughout the end-to-end product lifecycle, from initial specification, through development, production and installation, to monitoring live flood events across fleets of sensors.
  • Select the technology and components to perfect ultra-sonic range-finding, ultra low power modes and the latest cellular and local IoT networks, to create devices that last 10yrs and can be installed anywhere around the globe.
  • Build a reliable product for a rapidly expanding market, ensuring quality throughout the production chain and developing verification testing for large scale production.

The starting salary range for this role is £50,000 to £75,000, plus company equity (shares).
