About FloodFlash

FloodFlash is an insurance startup, created to help the millions of home and business owners around the world that can’t get access to affordable flood cover. We offer ‘event-based’ insurance, where a settlement is based on the occurrence of a flood, rather than the damage that it causes. Backed by great VC investors who share our vision for the growth (and impact) of this kind of insurance, we are just over two years old. Our small team is passionate and friendly. We work closely with our distribution partners to support them in supplying FloodFlash policies to their clients. The role of Account Executive is crucial to drive the expansion of our customer base by growing partner opportunities into long-term relationships based on trust and mutual success.

We expect you to have the following skills and personality:

  • Evidence of interest in a sales or product specialist role
  • Excellent communications skills (in person, written and on the phone)
  • Professionalism and an ability to balance customer and FloodFlash business goals
  • Passion for technology and strategic insights
  • A keen eye for detail
  • You are always learning, you love a fast-paced team environment

What we’d like you to do:

  • Develop in a fast-growing team with great progression prospects
  • Support and respond to our distribution partners needs quickly and accurately.
    • Become responsible for you own key distribution partners
    • Contribute ideas to help overcome challenges and improve our distribution
  • Logging and recording all client interactions on the FloodFlash CRM system
  • Support Broker Onboarding and training
    • Become adept at presenting FloodFlash to prospective distribution partners
  • Work collaboratively with FloodFlash’s technology team by sharing feedback from your interactions with distribution partners
  • Support analysis of our partners’ performance and generate insights to help them become more productive
  • 10% time-spent bringing new ideas to FloodFlash

What we’d do for you:

  • Finance your development through participation in the Chartered Insurance Broker examinations
  • Membership of FloodFlash’s company share options scheme

Starting salary is £25,000 and our benefits package includes a share option scheme for all team members, 25 days' holiday each year (as well as the bank holidays), flexible working, lovely office and a fantastic team around you all striving for the same.
